SCHOOL TIMES
07h00 to 12h15
Gates are open between 07h00 & 08h00 and again between 12h15 & 13h00.
AFTERCARE
13h00 to 17h00 daily
Aftercare is charged per hour. You are only charged for the time your child spends at school.
SCHOOL TERMS
School terms run in conjunction with the Government school terms.
HOLIDAY CARE
No holiday care is provided.

HATS AND SUNSCREEN
We are a sun-safe school, so every child is provided with a school hat to wear and sunblock is applied on very hot days.
LEARNING READINESS ASSESSMENTS
All our Grade R children are assessed at the start of their Grade R year. This assessment allows us to provide a unique learning programme for each Grade R child.

History
Originally started by Mrs Linley as a play school, Howick Pre-Primary School has remained a home away from home for the children in our care.
1978
Mrs Linley’s school was taken over by the Education Department under the leadership of Mrs Warren. Howick Pre-Primary was established, making it the oldest pre-primary in Howick.
1984
Enrolment increased to 120 children (18 months to 6 years).
1984
Became an independent pre-primary, registered with the Department of Education and run under the governance of an elected School Governing Body.
